Foundation Construction Continues for Cambria Somerville
Construction is up and running again at the new Cambria Hotel in Somerville. The concrete footings have been poured while the model guestrooms, which already have framing up, are being built off-site in Hyde Park. The owner, The Noannet Group, decided to build the model rooms off-site so they will be finished in September before the shell of the building is complete.
The new hotel will be located along Somerville Avenue between Union and Porter Square near several shops, markets, and entertainment venues. In addition to the abundant restaurants and bars in the area, The Cambria Somerville-Cambridge will also house its own restaurant space with outdoor seating as well as a fitness center. A rhythmic, stepped, warm wood-textured façade will add a welcoming character to the streetscape.
Construction is expected to be complete in the Summer of 2021.
