HITT Announces New Senior Leadership Appointments

HITT Contracting, one of the nation’s largest commercial construction firms, is pleased to announce several changes to its senior leadership team that will lead the company into the next era. For 87 years, HITT has been a relationship-driven contractor focused on strategically scaling its business to grow alongside trusted clients and partners. The firm has purposefully developed this next generation of leaders through intentional long-term succession planning. The organic growth of proven leaders from within ensures HITT’s future success.

Evan Antonides has been elevated to co-president, providing executive oversight of HITT’s operations in the Southeast and Texas, as well as the firm’s mission critical work nationwide. Upon graduating from Virginia Tech, he joined the firm in 2006 as a part of the HITT Futures talent pipeline program and steadily rose through operations roles of increasing responsibility, eventually leading HITT’s mission critical sector as executive vice president. He has built trusted partnerships with Fortune 500 companies nationwide, enabling HITT’s growth as a top 20 general contractor. In his new role, Antonides will focus on HITT’s continued growth nationwide and will serve alongside Co-President Drew Mucci who provides oversight to 12 key market sectors and regions.

Co-President Jeremy Bardin has announced plans to retire in December 2024 after more than 40 years in the construction industry. Throughout his 21-year tenure at HITT, his outstanding leadership drove the firm’s expansion in many areas, including its success in data center construction nationwide. Bardin showed unwavering commitment to the company, clients, and partners, as well as deep care and compassion for HITT team members as a champion of workforce well-being and strong mental health. He’s also been influential in shaping HITT as a workplace that fosters inclusion for active-duty military and veterans. Bardin will continue with the firm through the end of the year, focused on providing executive amplitude to the HITT’s safety efforts and ensuring a seamless leadership transition.

Executive Vice President Brian Kriz has accepted a new role overseeing HITT’s dedicated site operations teams nationwide. A builder at heart, Kriz started with HITT as a laborer more than 30 years ago, eventually rising to lead the corporate interiors sector and shaping HITT’s culture through his passion for the craft and deep respect for the trades. In the new role, he will lead more than 500 critical site operations team members on jobsites throughout the country, focusing on connecting teams, sharing best practices, and supporting career development and growth in the field.

Aaron Martens and Triloka Shanbhag have been appointed as vice presidents and co-business unit leaders of HITT’s mission critical sector. They will each lead a distinct client-centric division, enabling the firm to continue delivering large-scale data center projects and programs. Martens joined HITT in 2013, building an impressive portfolio of data center work throughout Northern Virginia and Texas. In 2017, Shanbhag joined the HITT team specializing in project management of highly confidential and increasingly complex data center projects. Together they bring 30+ years of experience delivering data centers, network operations centers, and other mission critical facilities for the world’s leading technology firms. Martens and Shanbhag are poised to expertly spearhead the company’s mission critical construction operations nationwide.

Trevor Coffey has been promoted to senior vice president, providing executive leadership for HITT’s California offices located in Los AngelesSan Francisco, and Santa Clara. In 2017, he relocated from HITT’s Washington, DC-area headquarters to Southern California to officially launch HITT’s Los Angeles office, and in five short years, he has led the team to record growth. Coffey’s promotion is a direct reflection of HITT’s continued commitment to expansion on the West Coast, allowing the firm to strategically grow its presence and project portfolio.

Andre Grebenstein has been promoted to vice president and business unit leader of HITT’s New York office. Grebenstein has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial construction and has been with HITT’s New York team since early 2020 specializing in leading complex mission critical, light industrial, and life science projects. Under his executive leadership, HITT will continue to expand capabilities throughout the Northeast, providing the same exceptional quality, service, and support to clients in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
