Hotel on Rocky Point Acquired for $75.9 Million
The DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa Rocky Point Waterfront hotel has been sold for $75.9 million. The buyer is an LLC connected with Minnesota-based Oliver Companies. Public records show that Oliver Companies secured a mortgage for $38 million from Aareal Capital Corporation. The previous owner was an LLC connected to Texas-based Westmont Development, Inc. The hotel offers 204 guest rooms. Guests can enjoy bayside sunsets from their rooms or the waterfront grill. Located along the causeway, the hotel is between downtown Tampa and Clearwater Beach, a 10-minute drive from Tampa International Airport. The hotel features a pool, fitness center, business center and meeting rooms.
