Innovation QNS Heading to City Council
A proposal for Innovation QNS; a massive mixed-use development that would span 5-blocks in Astoria, Queens, has just been approved with modifications by the City Planning Commission (CPC). Submitted by Bedrock Real Estate Partners and Silverstein Properties, under the name Kaufman Bedrock Astoria I LLC, the application requests zoning text amendments, and Large-Scale General Development special permits for bulk modifications. The proposal will now be sent to the City Council for further review.
If ultimately approved, Innovation QNS would consist of 12 new buildings, which would bring a total of 2,800 housing units to the area. The project in its entirety would reportedly cost somewhere in the ballpark of $2 billion to construct.
