Landscaping in Full Swing at Bronx Point

Masonry supplier, Kings Contracting Group, has shared updated photos of the construction progress at Bronx Point. The images depict ongoing landscaping work on the 2.8-acre, public green space, that will surround the building. The landscape plan has been envisioned by Marvel Architects and it will feature walking paths, a playground, and several gathering spaces.

Bronx Point is located at 575 Exterior Street in the South Bronx. Construction initially broke ground on the 22-story, mixed-use development, approximately 2 years ago.

Developed jointly by L+M Development Partners and Type A Projects, the building will contain affordable housing units, available in studio, one, two, and three-bedroom configurations. This number will eventually increase to 1,045 units after the later phases of the project are completed.

Tenant amenities are to include a fitness center, a community lounge, an outdoor terrace, a children’s room, and a bike storage area.

In addition to residential units, Bronx Point will serve a variety of other functions. The building will contain 56,000 square feet of community facilities, and square feet of ground-floor retail space. It will also house the Universal Hip Hop Museum.

Designed by , with , serving as the general contractor, Bronx Point's first phase stands feet tall and totals square feet. Interior finishing is still ongoing and construction is set to finish towards the end of 2023.
