2-33 50th Avenue Update 08/18/23

Masonry Work Begins at 2-33 50th Avenue

Cinder blocks are beginning to stack up as the superstructure slowly starts to rise for a large, multifamily, mixed-use project, going up at 2-33 50th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens.

General contractor, , and subcontractor, RNC Industries, recently started to pour the building's concrete superstructure, and Kings Contracting Group NY is now supplying all masonry for the project as the team works to construct the second floor.

Jointly developed by The VOREA GroupL+M Development Partners, and The Domain Companies, the 12-story building, soon to be known as "Jasper Hunters Point", is set to contain rental apartments.

Tenant amenities are to include a fitness center, a swimming pool, and several roof terraces. In addition to residential space, the structure will offer  square feet of ground-floor retail, 503 square feet of community facility space, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles. The building will also feature roof-mounted solar panels, which will help in achieving LEED Platinum certification.

Designed by S9 Architecture, Jasper Hunters Point will stand feet tall and total square feet.

The development is being constructed on a square foot project site, bound by 49th Avenue, 5th Street, and 50th Avenue. The entire project is expected to cost $370 million, with work estimated to take until September 2024.
