Lowell City Council Votes to Sell Hamilton Canal Land
Lowell City Council voted unanimously to move forward in selling five parcels of land in the Hamilton Canal District to developer Lupoli Companies. The land disposition agreement moves Lupoli one step closer in the permitting phase of development and the project is expected to generate a minimum of $30 million in investment.
Sal Lupoli has envisioned a mixed-use development across multiple buildings, including a 13-story tower. The Lupoli project also includes an additional 500 to 600 car garage as well as a a 40,000-square-foot building intended for office and entrepreneurial use.
