Luxury Murray Hill Apartment Tower Trades for $68M
A 36-story, residential tower, located at 49 East 34th Street in Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood, has just been sold for $68 million. The building was purchased by Four Winds Real Estate, from the previous owners, Canvas Property Group and HIG Capital, in a deal brokered by Eastdil Secured.
Known as "The Knox", the building was constructed in 2007. It contains 110 luxury apartments and 3,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Tenant amenities include a fitness center, a landscaped rooftop, and a work lounge.
The previous owners purchased the 106,153 square-foot tower less than 7 years ago, back in September of 2017. Having paid $80 million for the property at that time, they've incurred a bit of a loss on this sale.
