Massive Midtown Hotel Passes Halfway Mark
General Contractor, Omnibuild, has just announced that construction is officially past the halfway mark for the new Hilton hotel at 150 West 48th Street in Midtown. The 320,000 square foot building will contain 1,046 rooms, making it the ninth-largest hotel in all of New York City. It is being developed by McSam Hotel Group and will stand 38 stories high, at 330 feet. Designed by Gene Kaufman Architects, the hotel will also contain retail space, a cafe & restaurant, two separate gyms, and a rooftop bar. Construction is expected to complete in 2022.
