Mattapan Mixed-Use Project Secures $10M Construction Loan

The approved mixed-use project for 1301 Blue Hill Avenue has secured $10M in construction financing through Webster Five Bank. Wellington at 1301 is set to feature 39 apartments, three retail/ commercial units, and 40 garage parking spaces.  The property is located near Mattapan Square, which provides direct access to both the MBTA Red Line via the Mattapan Trolley, as well as the Indigo Line via the Blue Hill Avenue commuter rail station. The construction loan was arranged by FinanceBoston, a real estate capital advisory firm based in Boston.

“Wellington at 1301 will be one of the best new residential buildings in the area,” said Brian Rooney, Senior Associate at FinanceBoston. “Mattapan has a severe shortage of new apartments, and with improved connectivity to Downtown Boston, the neighborhood has little to no vacancy.  I am excited to see this project progress and look forward to working with this team again in the future.”
