Miami River Commission Approves Hyatt's 3-Tower Complex

The Miami River Commission has unanimously voted to approve the proposal by Hyatt Hotels and Gencom to redevelop the Hyatt Regency and James L. Knight Center into a 3 tower complex. The board recommended that the Miami City Commission put the project to a referendum, as the 4.1-acre site is owned by the city.

Redevelopment of the Hyatt Regency in Miami will include the 3-tower complex comprised of 1,806 apartments (264 will be serviced), 615 hotel rooms, 190,000 sq ft of meeting space, 20,000 sq ft of co-working space, and 1,100 parking spots. The towers will be connected at the top by a sky bridge featuring an upscale restaurant and lounge.
