MTA Buys Crown Heights Maintenance Facility for $25.25M
A 3-story, industrial building, located at 1590 Bedford Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, has just been sold for $25.25 million. The structure was purchased by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), from the previous owner, President Maintenance.
The MTA is acquiring the 55,000-square-foot building after leasing it for the last 25 years. Originally constructed in 1926, the building currently contains New York City Transit's "Bedford Avenue Maintenence Shop", which handles repairs for the subway system.
