Permits Filed for 14-Story Affordable Housing Building in Longwood

Building permits have just been filed for a 14-story, mixed-use development, at 1051 Whitlock Avenue in the Longwood neighborhood of the Bronx. Developed by , the project comes as one of two phases for "Whitlock Point"; an affordable housing complex that will create over 500 units.

The building in question will contain rental apartments, all of which will be dedicated to affordable housing. Plans also call for square feet of ground-floor retail space, a cellar level, a rear yard, and an open parking area with enough room for vehicles.

Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. The buildings that previously occupied the property were leveled a number of years ago and the lot is currently ready to build on.
