555 Broadway Update 01/28/22

Permits Filed for Williamsburg Mixed-Use Project

Just yesterday, we reported on the sale of 555 Broadway; a vacant development site, located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. If you didn't catch that article, Bridge City Capital shelled out $54 million this week to purchase the lot (which offers 330,000 buildable square feet) from previous owner, The Collective. Like clockwork, we've now received word that permits have just been filed for a new, 8-story, mixed-use development.

Developed by the , the building would be addressed as "275 Lorimer Street". It would contain residential units and square feet of commercial space. This would likely come in the form of ground-floor retail. Plans also call for a basement and an enclosed parking garage with enough room for vehicles.

Designed by , the structure would stand feet tall and total square feet. Demolition will obviously not be necessary, but plenty of site prep may be required due to the significant overgrowth, partially-paved areas, and leftover debris piles scattered across the lot.
