Plans Now Under Review for Redevelopment of 41 Berkeley St
Related Beal has filed plans for the redevelopment of 41 Berkeley Street in the South End. The redevelopment will include approximately 311,000 square feet of and consist of a senior care facility, commercial and retail uses, income-restricted, residential uses, and a new non -profit affordable cultural space. Plans call for 241 senior beds and with 6,150 square feet of ground-floor retail/restaurant space and the renovation and expansion of the existing Franklin Union building into approximately 76,000 square feet of commercial space. Plus the existing building at 4 Appleton Street will be the renovated to include 18 income-restricted units and nonprofit affordable cultural space. Per the filing, It is anticipated that project construction will commence as early as 2022.
