Plans Under Review for New Cancer Hospital
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center & Dana Farber Cancer Institute have filed plans for a 14-story cancer hospital to replace The Joslin Diabetes Center at 415-435 Brookline Avenue. The new 495,000-square-foot building will include approximately 300 inpatient beds and approximately 20 observation beds. The project will provide cutting-edge cancer research and world-class cancer care in a dedicated inpatient cancer hospital with state-of-the-art design, layout, and equipment. According to project documents, construction is expected to begin in 2026 and last through 2030.
