139 Bowery Update 09/07/21

Small Mixed-Use Tower Tops Out on Lower East Side

A 14-story mixed-use tower has topped out on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Located at 139 Bowery, it's being developed by Global Joint Venture Inc and will have 19 residential units. Architect, Raymond Chan, is the man responsible for designing the structure.

General contractor, Mandarin Enterprises II Inc has now finished constructing the superstructure and is just starting to work on the facade. In addition to residential space, the 41,000 sqft building will contain almost 20,000 sqft of retail on the lower floors.

The tower sits right beside the Moxy Hotel, which is simultaneously under construction, at 145 Bowery. While the two projects appear to be in similar stages of the build process, they are in no way related to one another. Work on 139 Bowery is likely to finish sometime next year.
