Switch from apartments to condominiums proposed for approved South Boston residential development


Developer Shamus Holdings, LLC is proposing to construct 29 condominium residences at 340 West Second Street in South Boston, as opposed to 29 apartments as approved in 2013. Under the revised proposal, 1,000 square feet of commercial space and a 43-car garage would still be constructed on the building's ground floor. The Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) is now reviewing Shamus Holdings, LLC's revised plans.
