Tiffany's Flagship Store Expansion Nears Completion
General contractor, Structure Tone Inc, is wrapping up the expansion and renovation of Tiffany & Company's flagship location at 727 Fifth Avenue in Midtown. The building's 3-story addition topped out early last year and scaffolding has now been removed from the side of the building.
Sitting atop the pre-war structure like a crown, the new expansion was designed by OMA and completely replaces an older addition, spanning the 8th, 9th, and 10th floors. It will function as an exhibition and event space for Tiffany's loyal clientele.
In addition to the expansion, the building is receiving a full interior restoration and remodeling, led by Peter Marino. The project is set to cost upwards of $200 million and work is expected to finish sometime this spring.
