Two New Hotels Proposed Near Miami International Airport
MCR Hotels has submitted plans for two new hotels, each 200 keys and eight stories, near Miami International Airport. The eight-story buildings will be constructed on the site of the existing The Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon, a 14-story hotel with 508 rooms that was constructed in 1983. The new hotels will take up existing surface parking, plans include a 700-space garage for the existing Hilton and two four-story garages with 140 hotels each for the new hotels. Plans include dividing the site into three parcels, one for each hotel which could allow for separate ownership in the future.
