Two Roxbury Projects Under Official Review by BPDA
Two proposed developments are set to be reviewed by the BPDA at the December board meeting.
Developer Jonathon Smalls, a dance instructor, proposed to the BPDA an 11K SF dance studio on the site of the historic Nawn Factory in Nubian Square.
Along with developer Richard Taylor, whose plan proposes to build Nubian Square Ascends, a nearly 200K SF building with artist live-work space, a food hall, and offices, the Roxbury Strategic Master Plan Oversight Committee voted to recommend both developers to work on the respective sites in Nubian Square.
The move comes as a push to include more diverse developers among the city's approved projects. The BPDA will review both proposals on December 17th.
