UMaine Hosts Virtual Groundbreaking for New Engineering Center
The University of Maine held a virtual groundbreaking ceremony on 4/28 for the upcoming Ferland Engineering Education and Design Center (EEDC). The event, scheduled to take place in-person to celebrate the $78M project was moved online given protocols surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. The 100,000 plus square foot project will include multi-use academic and laboratory space destined to become the heart of undergraduate engineering education at the University of Maine. The project is expected to be completed in spring 2022.
