United Therapeutics Acquires Silver Spring Hotel Adjacent to Unisphere for $48M
United Therapeutics has acquired the now closed Hampton Inn/Homewood Suites hotel along Colesville Road in Silver Spring for $48,700,000. The roughly 140,000 square foot hotel building is situated on a 17,000 square foot site which is located directly next to The Unisphere. The 210,000 square-foot, net-zero building, houses clinical operations for pulmonary disease, heart failure, and organ transplantation as well as a virtual drug development lab for United Therapeutics.
