Updated Plans Presented for Worcester Multifamily: Number of Affordable Units Decreased
Kensington Management, LLC has filed updated plans for the multifamily project at 48 Mason Street in Worcester. In 2023, special permits were approved for a new 7-story, multi-family building with 94 units with a mix of 1BR, 2 BR, and 3BR units and 66 parking spaces. The dwelling units were originally all designated as affordable housing units but now there will be a reduction in the number of affordable units. The developer is now proposing that only 15% of the dwelling units will be affordable to households with annual earnings of 60-80% AMI.
