Upscale Manhattan Residential Tower Closes In on Completion
The Financial District's newest high-end residential building, 77 Greenwich, looks to be nearing completion. The tower's facade is now almost completely installed, and a temporary certificate of occupancy has even been issued for the first six floors as well as the lobby.
The 40-story mixed-use tower is being developed by Trinity Place Holdings, and was designed by FX Fowle Architects (Now known as FXCollaborative). Gilbane Residential Construction is the leading general contractor for the 300,692 square foot project.
Once fully completed, 77 Greenwich will have 90 luxury condo residences and 4,738 square feet of ground-floor retail space. It will also contain a public elementary school. The tower stands at 503 feet tall, and construction is expected to finish sometime this year.
