Weehawken Office Building Sells for $219M

A large Class-A office building at 1000 Harbor Boulevard in Weehawken, NJ has just sold for $219 million. Jeff Sutton's NYC-based real estate company, Wharton Properties, purchased the 617,000 square foot building from Hartz Mountain Industries.

Wharton was able to acquire the property with the help of KTB Investment & Securities, a brokerage and investment trust company based in South Korea. In addition to office space, the building has a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on the ground floor, and parking for 741 vehicles. UBS Financial Services is the structure's main tenant. The company has an office lease that isn't set to expire until 2035.

1000 Harbor Boulevard was constructed in 1987 as part of the Lincoln Harbor waterfront development. The entire development totals 60-acres and overlooks the Hudson River. Offices facing the water provide fantastic views of the Manhattan skyline.
