Workforce Housing Development Proposed in Miami
Miami-based Next Development has proposed a workforce apartment complex in Miami. The project will be reviewed by the Miami Urban Development Review Board at its meeting February 21, 2024. Principio, a cutting-edge eight-story workforce housing apartment building will offer 142 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 585 to 1,121 square feet. In order to qualify under the Live Local Act, 40 percent, approximately 56 residences, will be designated as workforce housing. Community amenities will include a fitness center, co-working space, third-floor courtyard, and children’s playground. The development would include 3,526 square feet of retail space and 229 parking spots. The existing Burger King restaurant that is on the site will be demolished. Strategically situated within both an Opportunity Zone and the NW 7th Ave transit corridor, Principio boasts an exceptional location.
