Zoning Amendment Filed for Brookland Site

The New Macedonia Baptist Church has filed paperwork for a map amendment to rezone the vacant property at 2026 Jackson Street NE. The request would change the zoning from R-1B to MU-4 allowing for mixed-use development up to 50 feet in height. If approved the zoning would allow for maximum lot occupancy of 60% for residential; (75% with Inclusionary Zoning) 100% for commercial (subject to rear yard requirements) with a maximum FAR of 2.5 or 3.0 with Inclusionary Zoning.
