The property will feature a nine-story, approximately 483,000 square foot square-foot mixed-use building intended for commercial office, research, and development (R&D), laboratory and retail uses on Cambridge Crossing Parcels EF.  The Ground Floor includes approximately 2,580 square feet of Retail and Consumer Services, accessed from the street or public area of the building lobby (6,695sf), along with other active uses. Three levels of parking containing 379 spaces totaling 153,236 square feet would be located underneath the building. 100 bicycle storage spaces would also be provided.

Construction of 250 Water Street is expected to last 28 months. The building will be the next phase of DivcoWest's 45-acre, 4.5-million-square-foot Cambridge Crossing development, which upon completion will feature 2.1 million square feet of state-of-the-art science and technology-geared office space, 2.4 million square feet of residential space with 2,400 residential units and 100,000 square feet of retail.
