About The Smith South End (formerly Harrison Albany Block)

123 East Dedham Street, South End, Boston, MA

Upcoming mixed-use development situated on a three-acre site bounded by Harrison Avenue, East Dedham Street, Albany Street and East Canton Street in Boston's South End. The project will consist of four buildings totaling approximately 710,000 square feet. A total of 650 apartment residences and 80,000 square feet of office space will be constructed at The Smith, in addition to 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. A two-level parking garage will be built underneath the project site; up to 650 off-street parking spaces will be located at The Smith. 

Two new residential buildings up to 11 stories tall containing approximately 600 apartment residences and 8,600 square feet of ground-floor retail will be constructed along East Dedham Street and East Canton Street. Existing buildings at 575 Albany Street and 660 Harrison Avenue (Gambro Building) will be retained and improved and will contain office, medical and retail space in addition to 50 apartment residences. The Smith will be built to LEED Silver sustainability specifications. The following are renderings of The Smith:
