About The Beacon

819 Beacon Street, FenwayBoston, MA

The existing conditions at 819 Beacon Street currently consist of a surface parking lot. In 2013, Children’s Hospital permitted an approx. 425,000 sq. ft. commercial office building (with 432 above-ground parking spaces) as part of its Institutional Master Plan. Based on space-planning in recent years, Children’s Hospital has determined that it no longer requires administrative office space at the 819 Beacon Street location and believes that the site can better serve the neighborhood as a location for residential housing. 

Scape is now planning a 395,00 square foot building for the site to include approximately 450 residential units and 215 below-grade parking spaces. The program will include 50 units of patient-family residences operated by Children’s Hospital. The project is being planned in conjunction with Boylston Place and The Ipswich
