Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. (UES) is submitting this request to perform soil borings at the above referenced site. The soil borings will be performed within private property. The borings are being performed to obtain soil information for foundation design for future development of the lot in to a hotel building. UES proposes to perform (2) soil borings to a depth of 90 to 110 feet. We will be performing Standard Penetration Tests at regular intervals and obtaining split-spoon samples...Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. The borings are being performed to obtain soil information for foundation design for future development of the lot in to a hotel building. UES proposes to perform (2) soil borings to a depth of 90 to 110 feet. We will be performing Standard Penetration Tests at regular intervals and obtaining split-spoon samples. Once auger and split-spoon refusal is encountered, we will obtain rock core samples from two of the boreholes. A drawing showing the proposed boring locations is attached as Exhibit A. Once soil borings have been completed, we will be containerizing the soil cuttings from the boreholes and backfilling the boreholes with non-shrink grout per DCRA requirements.
