Description

ECS will employ a track-mounted Geoprobe to advance four borings within the vicinity of the previous release. The borings will be advanced to a maximum depth of 5 feet below ground surface or until probe refusal is encountered, whichever occurs first. Based on PID readings and field observations (i.e. staining or odors), one of the borings will be advanced at least 5 feet into groundwater. The temporary well will be completed with ten feet of 0.020-inch machine slot screen placed in the base of the borehole and solid PVC casing then extending to the surface. The well will not be flush mounted as with a permanent well, and will be removed following collection of the groundwater sample.
