Tampa General Hospital acquired the Bravera Health Network, which includes three hospitals. The hospitals, clinical operations, services, providers and team members that were previously owned and operated by certain subsidiaries of Community Health Systems, Inc., will form TGH North, a division of TGH and an important extension of one of the nation’s leading academic health systems. The hosptials are: Bravera Health Brooksville, a 120-bed Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital that opened in 1932. In keeping with their heritage, the hospital provides quality, compassionate healthcare to residents of Hernando County and surrounding areas; Bravera Health Seven Rivers, a 128-bed Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital which opened in 1978. In keeping with their heritage, the hospital provides quality, compassionate healthcare to residents of Citrus County and surrounding areas; Bravera Health Spring Hill is a 124-bed Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital that opened in 1991 to meet the increasing demand for healthcare services.
