• Called out on March 13th 2020 at 10 pm for water pipe break on third floor• Arrived to find Fire Department on scene with building management• Unit on third floor hot water tank broke flooding that units floor/wall. Also severely damaging the unit just below and the common area.• Fire Dept. shut main circuit breaker to unit off• Went into unit shut down all branch circuit breakers in unit and removed all ceiling mount fixtures in unit and also fixtures in hallway that were affected.• Assist...• Called out on March 13th 2020 at 10 pm for water pipe break on third floor• Arrived to find Fire Department on scene with building management• Unit on third floor hot water tank broke flooding that units floor/wall. Also severely damaging the unit just below and the common area.• Fire Dept. shut main circuit breaker to unit off• Went into unit shut down all branch circuit breakers in unit and removed all ceiling mount fixtures in unit and also fixtures in hallway that were affected.• Assisted in opening ceiling so water could escape.• Notified local electrical inspector and applied for permit.• All removed fixtures will have to be replaced, and once the ceiling is opened and dried out the condition of wiring should be reevaluated.• Off course all wiring should be up to 2020 code and protected by AFCI circuit breaker when reinstalling new fixtures; upon reinspection by local authority
