The Louis Agassiz Museum of Comparative Zoology is a zoology museum founded in 1859 at Harvard University, consisting of a rotating display of several thousand (out of over 21 million total) specimens. Recently, South Coast Improvement Company completed improvements to the museum totaling $600,000. Three former conference rooms have been converted into four work/study areas for graduate students, with each suite including a desk/workstation with data links and updated furniture. Likewise, new office space has been created for for museum staff. The building has been retrofitted with new mechanical equipment, controls and sprinkler modifications, and new finishes have been installed consistent with the historical nature of the building.
