Full renovation and repositioning of a preexisting 694,000-square-foot warehouse on Quincy’s Squantum Point overlooking Boston Harbor to contain a new global customer fulfillment center for Boston Scientific. The project, completed in September 2017, entailed sustainably-designed interior fit-out and building envelope renovations for the building, creating 64,000 square feet of office space and a 630,000-square-foot customer fulfillment center built to LEED Gold sustainability standards.
Over half of Boston Scientific’s global product manufacturing, including medical device products such as life-saving stents, will move through the 24-hour customer fulfillment facility, which includes 2.5 miles of high-efficiency, “smart technology” conveyor. Employee amenities include a fitness center, a 24/7 grab-and-go food kiosk, a game room, a full-service café, a waterfront roof terrace with outdoor casual seating and conference spaces offering stunning views of Downtown Boston. The center is located just off of Interstate 93, a short drive from Downtown Boston.
