The project is a 100% affordable building for residents 62 years or older. The units will be rented to those qualifying with incomes 60% of AMI or below. The site is located less than 2 Miles from downtown Frederick and is within walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, convenience stores and more! The building amenities include an exercise room, yoga/wellness room, a library with a coffee station, a gathering room, sitting areas, a Pub/Lounge, BBQ Stations, Fire Pits, Garden Stations as well as a dog park and dog wash station, in addition to walking paths throughout the site. This project is to be financed utilizing a HUD 231 Loan as well as Low-Income Housing Tax Credits issued by the Community Development Authority for the State of Maryland. This project is slated to commence construction in July of 2022 and will be delivered in Q4 of 2023 with a separate Assisted Living Phase to be developed in the future.
