Lionsgate Newark Studios is set to become New Jersey's first purpose-built studio for TV and film production. It will be constructed on a 12-acre parcel at 755 Frelinghuysen Avenue in Newark, on the former site of the Seth Boyden Housing complex. The studio will have 6-production stages ranging from 20,000 to 30,000 square feet. Full production services will be offered on-site. The building will also have offices and support space, a parking lot, a commercial truck lot, restaurants, and catering services. The studio will generate $800 million a year and create over 600 jobs.
