RESTON REGIONAL LIBRARY BUILDING RENOVATION SCOPE OF WORK FOR THIS PROJECT IS TO RENOVATE THE PUBLIC RESTROOMS AND DETERMINE COSTS. THE PURPOSE IS TO UPDATE THE RESTROOMS (MEN & WOMENS) TO HAVE MATERIALS THAT ARE CONSISTANT WITH FAIRFAX COUNTY STANDARDS. THE EXISTING RESTROOM WILL NEED TO BE DEMO'D TO REMOVE THE EXISTING FLOOR AND WALL TILE, TOILETS, LAVATORIES, TOILET PARTITIONS AND LIGHTING. ADDITIONALLY, THE DESIGN INTENT TO IS TO MINIMIZE ANY UNWANTED BEHAVIOR BY REMOVING THE DOORS AND IMPROVE LIGHTING. NOTE THAT LIFE SAFETY ITEMS SUCH AS SPRINKLERS, AUDIO LIGHTS AND ALARMS SHALL REMAIN AS IS. IN ADDITION TO THE RESTOOM PRICING PACKAGE WE ARE INCLUDING ITEMS AT THE FRONT ENTRY TO BE REPLACED AND/OR UPDATED IN OUR PRICE PROPOSAL. ITEMS TO BE REMOVED INCLUDE ONE TV, UNUSED THERMOSTATS, AND METAL WALK-THROUGH POST, THE FRONT ENTRY CARPET IS ALSO PURPOSED TO BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH LIKE-KIND CARPET. THE REAR OF THE LIBRARY HAS CARPET THAT ALSO NEEDS TO BE REPLACED PENDING THE ADD ALTERNATE PURPOSED PRICING, ANOTHER GOAL IS RENOVATE THE LIBRARY, AS IN A FACE LIFT, TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF THE LIBRARY FOR THE NEXT 7-10 YEARS. ONE WAY TO DO SO IS TO UTILIZE LED LIGHTING SO THAT THE LIBRARY REDUCES ENERGY COST AND INCREASE IT'S LIGHT LEVELS. THIS SCOPE OF WORK WILL BE DETERMINED AFTER THE PROPOSED PRICING ON THE RESTROOMS CAN BE DETERMINED. A SEPARATE LIGHTING PERMIT SET OF DRAWINGS MAY FOLLOW THIS RESTROOM PRICING EXERCISE / PRICING SET. LASTLY, IF THE PROPOSED PRICING ALLOWS, FAIRFAX COUNTY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE ACOUSTICAL CEILING TILES TO UTILIZE ACT THAT IS CONSISTANT WITH FAIRFAX COUNTY STANDARDS, LOCATION OF ACOUSTICAL CEILING TILES TO BE REMOVED AND REPLACED IS NOT A PART OF THIS PRICING PACKAGE.
