Permit Details: SE 60TH STREET BRIDGE
The City proposes to construct a temporary bridge to span over the existing bridge on North Fork Issaquah Creek to eliminate loading the existing bridge due to the instability of the east abutment. The temporary bridge would be 30-feet long and set on concrete spread footings located approximately 5 to 8-feet behind the existing abutments. The abutments are located to prevent or significantly minimize additional surcharge loads acting on the existing abutments. The temporary bridge uses three (3) 4-foot wide prestressed concrete slab girders with grouted keyways. The top of the slabs will serve as the driving surface with W-beam guardrail attached to the sides of the bridge. The structure type provides a shallow superstructure depth which limits the profile raise of SE 60th Street and minimizes impacts to adjacent parcels and residences. The temporary bridge will be supported by concrete cap abutments. Each abutment will be supported by 4-foot by 15-foot concrete spread footings.
