Sales Kick-Off for The Quinn in the South End Related Beal today officially launched sales at The Quinn. Designed by a renowned team of architects and designers that includes Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Meyer Davis, The Quinn is a 14-story luxury condominium property located at 380 Harrison Avenue in the South End that offers 101 studio to four-bedroom luxury residences. “We are thrilled to introduce The Quinn and offer our unique brand of hospitality-focused living in the South End,” said Kimberly Sherman Stamler, President of Related Beal. “Our future residents will not only enjoy an incredible space filled with thoughtful luxuries and unmatched service, but will also be part of a community that includes amazing art galleries, boutique shopping, and top restaurants around every corner.” In designing The Quinn, Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Meyer Davis took inspiration from the South End’s blend of historic Victorian row houses and industrial buildings and infused these elements into every detail. Stern and his partner Daniel Lobitz wove together classic neighborhood elements of brick, granite, sandstone, blackened steel and metal work over a modern glass backdrop to create The Quinn’s façade. Inside, Meyer Davis chose materials that echo the atmosphere of the South End to design the building’s refined residences, and incorporated unique features such as wine coolers, fireplaces, custom cabinetry and millwork. The Quinn offers a wide range of diverse floor plans that include dens, powder rooms, and private terraces, providing flexibility and appeal to a wide breadth of future homebuyers.  Residents will enjoy several thoughtfully curated amenity spaces, including an expansive fourth floor with a relaxed lounge and library, collaborative work areas, a gaming room, a sports lounge with billiards and shuffleboard, and a beautiful dining room perfect for hosting dinners and wine tastings. On the 12th floor, a shared landscaped terrace wraps around three sides of the property, where residents can gather with friends and family in the private dining and barbecue areas, while taking in stunning views of Back Bay and Downtown Boston. $2.43 Permit Pulled for Silicon TX Expansion at 451 D St. PIDC Construction has pulled a permit valued at $2,437,000 for the expansion of the Silicon Therapeutics office at 451 D Street. The work includes new lab space, work stations, plus a conference room and kitchen space.

Building Permit Pulled for New Construction at Kenmore North Related Beal has pulled a building permit to kick off construction of the new 8-story building that will be a key piece in the Kenmore North Development. This new building at 535-545 Commonwealth Avenue will feature 165,000 square feet of office space along with ground-floor retail and restaurant space. As part of the project, two buildings at 11-19 Deerfield Street and 642-648 Beacon Street at either end of the portfolio would be modestly improved. while the 4 buildings at 650-660 Beacon Street will be fully renovated.

Framing Continues to Rise at The Quinn in the South End Framing continues to rise in the South End at 370-380 Harrison Avenue. The Quinn, a 14-story building will contain 273 residential units, including 172 rental apartments and 101 condominiums. Related Beal's project will also include 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail. Resident amenities at The Quinn will include upper-level roof decks with outdoor social space and plantings. 55 residences at 370-380 Harrison Avenue will be designated affordable, including 52 apartments and 3 condominiums.


Kenmore Square North

Demo Nearly Complete for Kenmore North Demolition of the three buildings at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Deerfield Street in Kenmore square is nearly complete to make way for the new 8-story 165,000 square foot office building as part of the Kenmore North project. Along with this new office space, the new construction building will also include ground-floor retail/restaurant space. Elsewhere on the site, 4 buildings along Beacon Street including 660 Beacon, home of the Citgo Sign will be fully renovated and feature a mix of office, creative workspace, and ground-floor retail.

Early Stage Site Work Underway for Phase II of Innovation Square Early-stage site work is now underway for the second building at Innovation Square in the Seaport.  Phase II will feature 260,000 square feet of state-of-the-art lab space and is set to be complete in the first quarter of 2021. Phase I of the project features a four-story, 125,000 square foot building anchored by a two-floor, 54,000-square-foot office for Mass Innovation Labs.    


Kenmore Square North

Demo Permits Pulled to Make Way for Upcoming Kenmore Square North Demo permits have been pulled to remove existing buildings at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Deerfield Street (533, 535-539 and 541 Commonwealth Avenue) in the heart of Kenmore Square. Once clear, the Related Beal development plans call for a new eight-story, 165,000-square-foot office building with a ground-floor restaurant/retail space in this spot. The Kenmore Square North project will also include renovations of buildings along Deerfield and Beacon Street. When complete the project will offer a total of around 400,000 square feet of office and creative workspace with ground-floor retail.

Framing Begins for The Quinn, 370-380 Harrison Ave. Framing has kicked off for Related Beal's 370-380 Harrison Avenue project now dubbed The Quinn (after the Quinzani's Bakery formerly on the site). The 14-story building will contain 273 residential units, including 172 rental apartments and 101 condominiums, and 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail. Condos will range in size from studios through 4 bedrooms. Three levels of parking under the building will have space for 180 cars.

Interior Finishing Wrapping up for The Whitney: Anticipated Opening August 1st Interior finishing is wrapping up for Beacon Hill's newest hotel, The Whitney. The 66 room project features a redesign and renovation of the John Jeffries house on the site along with a 12,000 square foot addition. On-site amenities will include a fitness center, Peregine restaurant, and a landscaped courtyard. The Whitney is now booking reservations for August 1st.


Congress Square

NPC Approved for 15-19 Congress The Notice of Project change for 15-19 Congress Street, part of the Congress Square development has been approved by the BPDA. The approval calls for approximately 116 hotel guestrooms instead of 35 condominiums. Retail space will continue to be included on the ground floor and there is virtually no change to the structure and massing of the building.

Fort Point Property Sells for $218 Million Related Beal has acquired the property at 244-284 A Street in Boston's Fort Point neighborhood for $218 million. The property features a 275,686 square foot parking lot/vacant parcel of land along the Fort Point Channel. The land sits adjacent to the future GE Headquarters dubbed Innovation Point. The parking lot sits in a blossoming location in Fort Point with the Seaport District and South Boston nearby.
