1607 Surf Avenue Completes in Coney Island
Developer and general contractor, , has wrapped up construction at 1607 Surf Avenue; a 10-story mixed-use project, in Brooklyn's Coney Island neighborhood.
The building features rental apartments, offered in a variety of sizes, ranging from studios to three-bedroom setups. All of the units will be dedicated to affordable housing programs, and approximately 57 units will be reserved specifically for formerly homeless residents. Tenant amenities include a fitness center, a children’s playroom, a party room, and a lounge. In addition to residential space, the building features square feet of ground-floor retail space, 9,000 square feet of community space, and a 2,500 square-foot, primary care facility, which will be operated by the New York City Health and Hospital Corp. There is also an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.
The development sits just a block away from the beach and the Coney Island Boardwalk. Designed by , 1607 Surf Avenue stands feet tall and totals square feet.
