Back Bay Hotel to Dorm Conversion Approved
Plans for the conversion of the South Tower at the Sheraton Boston Hotel at 39 Dalton Street to dorms have been approved. The project will convert 426 hotel rooms into approximately 856 student beds. The project also includes repurposing the existing hotel ground floor retail area and third-floor hotel area to create approximately 18,000 square feet of dedicated student amenities, including uses such as a student lounge, café/dining, quiet study area, laundry room, and/or fitness center. Plans also include a new main building entry dedicated to students.
