Demolition Underway on Site of Mixed-Use Development in St. Petersburg’s Skyway District
Demolition has begun on the office park that will be the site of a new mixed-use development in the Skyway Marina District of St. Petersburg. Sky Town, formerly known as Skyway Village, will be located on the 34-acre Ceridian campus, located at 3201 34th Street S., which was acquired by Altis Cardinal for $40 million in an all-cash acquisition in December 2021. Plans call for 92,000 square feet of commercial space, which is nearly double the square footage that was in the original plans. A 23,000 square foot Sprouts Farmers Market will anchor the retail component. Sky Town will include up to 2,084 multi-family units along with 119,160 square feet of self-storage space and 3,572 parking spaces. The residential units will be contained in six five-story buildings with individual parking garages. The retail component will also include 21,500 square feet of ground level retail space spread across the development and a 4,500 outparcel. The development plans also include keeping the 125-foot-tall office tower which will be converted into an amenity tower that will include a fitness center, leasing office, co-working space, a pet spa and Sky Lounge with Gulf views. The remainder of the office complex will be demolished.
