MIT Releases Final Development Plan for Volpe Project
MIT has released the final development plan for the Volpe project in Kendall Square, initiating phase 2 of construction. Additional renderings for the neighborhood-sized development were released with the report.
The 3,009,913 SF project will feature 1,400 mixed residential units with 1,756,913 SF of ground-floor community and commercial space. Work began in 2019 and work on the Volpe Transportation Center's concrete core and frame are underway.
