WCS Construction Selected to Construct the New Home of The Washington School for Girls
WCS Construction, LLC has been selected by THEARC-Building Bridges Across the River to construct the 33,000 sq ft THEARC IV, the new home of The Washington School for Girls, designed by Sanchez Palmer Architects. The new building, which will house grades 3 to 8, will match the architecture of the other buildings on campus with a façade featuring architectural CMU and metal panels. The new girls’ school will feature a cafetorium, designed for use as a cafeteria and an auditorium, a maker’s space, a lab on the top floor, and a grand staircase in the lobby entryway accented by terrazzo flooring. Groundbreaking is scheduled for early May 2024, with a targeted completion date of November 2025.
