Union Point Update 06/29/23

Zoning Changes Approved for Union Point in Weymouth

The town council of Weymouth has voted to approve zoning changes for the ongoing Union Point development. The new zoning consolidates the developable land into one zone that allows for a mix of uses with another zone set aside for open space. The changes were proposed by Brookfield & New England Development, the 4th team to work on the 1,400+ acre project. New plans could include between 2 and 3 million square feet of commercial space and roughly 7,250 housing units. Now the development team will need additional approvals from Rockland and Abington, where parts of the development are located.
