About Amazon Web Services Data Center - Springfield 7951 and 7961 Loisdale Road, Springfield, Va Amazon Web Services plans to demolish a pair of office buildings in Springfield. It acquired the 17.5 acre site on February 22, from Loisdale 24 LLC, an affiliate of Philadelphia's Rubenstein Partners, for $28 million. Amazon plans to replace the buildings with a 120,000-square-foot, 100-foot tall data center and an adjoining 55,500-square-foot generator yard. At two stories, the building would gross 240,000 square feet. Amazon has acquired a host of sites and vacant office buildings in Northern Virginia for data center developments. The Springfield site is another example of the company moving outside Loudoun and western Fairfax counties.
