Grain Collective (aka Grain) is a landscape architecture and urban planning practice dedicated to a rich design and planning process that incorporates research and collaboration from varied professionals and stakeholders to create successful, aesthetically pleasing, and experientially diverse environments.
Through a robust commitment to empower, engage, and activate local communities in shaping their social and ecological environments, we actively seek out opportunities for participatory planning and design. With broad experience working in New York City and with a number of NYC agencies and local community groups, we have a clear sense of the many complexities that must be unraveled and decoded for any project. We believe in the value of collaborative work both within our team and with clients. We cultivate robust relationships with our partners and clients, developing their ideas into tangible, successful projects. Grain is certified by New York State and New York City as a minority business enterprise.
